“It is only a novel… or, in short, only some work in which the greatest powers of the mind are displayed, in which the most thorough knowledge of human nature, the happiest delineation of its varieties, the liveliest effusions of wit and humour, are conveyed to the world in the best-chosen language”

Jane Austen, Northanger Abbey

Just finished “The Houseguest” , I found it enchanting! Of course any and all things “Darcy and Elizabeth” are compelling, I thank you.

i just finished The House Guest, and loved it.
i particularly liked the bits you would leave out, but look back on….those are the parts i would often skip “lightly” over in order to get on with the story.

Ordered the book from Amazon and it came Tuesday, read it and loved it. I loved the plot and how you used the social class differently by the Matlocks accepting Lizzy, Jane, the Gardiners and the family by accepting them.
I also liked the fact that you incorporated the children of those that were married and how their lives were intertwined along with their looks.
Easy read and I look forward to another novel of the P & P variation from you!
